OPTIMIST IMPACT GRANT
The Optimist Impact Grant awards up to $5,000 for a qualifying project or initiative that makes a direct or lasting impact on the youth of Bismarck-Mandan. Any local nonprofit groups and organizations are eligible to submit an application. Requests for funding must be for a project-based initiative, and awarded grant money must not go toward operating expenses of the requesting non-profit.
The application must provide details on how the grant funds will be utilized within the calendar year of being awarded, along with providing a timeline to the Bismarck Optimist Club which includes updates and notification of final completion, and the budget/bids for the project or initiative relating to this submittal.
We have awarded the Optimist Impact Grant to the following organizations:
2018: TR 4 Heart and Soul
2019: Bismarck Parks and Recreation District’s Zonta Park
2020: Elks Camp Grassick
2021: Abused Adult Resource Center
2022: Gateway to Science
2023: Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center
2024: 31:8 Project
The nonprofit must report progress of the project/initiative to the Optimist Club Board of Directors by February of the following year. Former award recipients cannot apply again for three years.
