FUNDS FOR THE FUTURE GRANT
Bismarck Optimist Club’s Funds for the Future provides grant money each year to local elementary schools to assist with the completion of a qualifying project. This is not a need-based award. Consideration is given to school involvement in the application process as well as the number of students and community members impacted by the completed project. Projects must be completed by the end of May in the year following the award.
Applications are sent to all local public and private elementary schools the first quarter of each year. The application must show how the grant funds facilitate the completion of the project, the timeline for the project completion and the budget/bids for the project.
The completed package must contain:
Application with budget attachment(s)
Letter of authorization and support from school principal
Kid’s creation. This creative project is to be completed by the students (ex: video, commercial, art projects, skit, music, stories, etc.).
The topic supports the theme of the project and may be supervised by staff and parents. Consideration is given to the student body involvement in this portion of the application.
Since 2012 Bismarck Optimist Club has award funds for the following projects:

Playground equipment
